Which Constitutional Delegate Are You Most Like?

There were 55 delegates that attended the Constitutional Convention. Their ages, educational backgrounds, economic interests, and continental experiences varied, which affected the compromises that were made at the Constitutional Convention.

For the following assignment, you are going to study one of the delegates and analyze how his background might have affected one of the compromises that was made at the Constitutional Convention.

2. Next, go to The Delegates Page, and research your delegate. You can also try to find your delegate on this painting which depicts the delegates signing The Constitution, and click on the accompanying link to find out more about your delegate.
3. After you have researched your delegate, please pick one of the following compromises: the Great Compromise, the 3/5 compromise, or the Commerce Clause. What do you think your delegate would have wanted? Why would your delegate have voted that way? What is this saying about the country at this time?
